Patient stages show where a patient is in the care workflow, from arrival through consultation, diagnostics, admission, transfer, or discharge.
🚦 Common stages and actions
- Waiting Room when the visit is first created
- Consulting when the clinician is ready to see the patient

🕒 Timeline context
The timeline panel records actions, pending tasks, and patient movement so staff can understand what has already happened and what still needs attention.
🔁 Transfers
When a patient is transferred, the visit file moves with them so the receiving department can continue care without creating a duplicate visit.
